ENG CMU Explores Schaeffler Vietnam’s High-Tech Factory!

The Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, led by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering,
Associate Professor Dr.Thongchai Fongsamootr
, along with the Associate Dean
Assistant Professor Dr.Uttapol Smutkupt
and Assistant Dean
Assistant Professor Dr. Korrakot Yaibuathet Tippayawong
and
Assistant Professor Dr.Pana Suttakul
a faculty member of the Mechanical Engineering Department
visited Schaeffler Vietnam Factory and discussed collaboration in research and student internships with Schaeffler Vietnam Co., Ltd.
on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 9:00 AM local time in Vietnam.
The Schaeffler Vietnam Factory is located in the Amata Industrial Zone in Bien Hoa City, about 50 km from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam plant produces industrial bearings and components for a wide range of applications. This facility has modern manufacturing machinery and technology that align with Schaeffler's commitment to maintaining consistent quality standards worldwide. Additionally, it is the first plant in South East Asia to apply the latest Industry 4.0 solutions developed by Schaeffler. There are 70 Schaeffler condition monitoring devices – SmartCheck – installed at key positions inside the plant.
