The International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, organized the New Student Orientation and Parent Meeting for the Academic Year 2026 on 18 June 2026 at Meeting Room 201, Information Technology Service Center (CMU-ITSC), Chiang Mai University. The event aimed to prepare new students for university life by providing essential information about academic programs, student services, learning opportunities, and support systems available throughout their studies.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Rujira Ouncharoen, Dean of the International College of Digital Innovation, who delivered a welcoming address to new students and their parents. She emphasized the importance of developing innovation, digital technology, entrepreneurial mindsets, and global competencies to thrive in an increasingly dynamic and interconnected world.
The event was also attended by the college executives, including Asst. Prof. Dr. Chaiwuth Tangsomchai, Associate Dean; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somchai Sriyab, Associate Dean; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Manad Khamkong, Associate Dean; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Benjamas Suksatit, Associate Dean, together with faculty members and staff who warmly welcomed students and their families.
Throughout the program, participants received important information regarding academic programs, curriculum structure, course registration procedures, scholarships, student development opportunities, extracurricular activities, and various support services provided by the College and the University. Students also gained valuable insights from senior students and alumni who shared their experiences in academics, student activities, innovation competitions, and international opportunities.
In the afternoon session, students met with their academic advisors to receive guidance on study plans, course registration procedures, and academic progression throughout their degree programs. This session provided an excellent opportunity for students to ask questions and gain confidence as they begin their university journey.
