UESTC Delegation Visits ICDI to Strengthen Academic Collaboration

On 3 December 2025, the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, welcomed a delegation from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) for discussions on expanding academic cooperation, including progress on the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for a degree program between ICDI and UESTC’s School of Information and Software Engineering.

The delegation, led by Prof. Liao Yong, Vice Dean of the School of Information and Software Engineering, included Prof. Li Wen from the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Assoc. Prof. Li Tingshuai from the School of Materials and Energy, and Ms. Wang Ya from the Admission and Academic Affairs Office, School of International Education.

The visit began with a morning meeting with the ICDI working group responsible for the degree program development. Assistant Professor Dr. Benjamas Suksatit, Vice Dean of ICDI, warmly welcomed the delegation before discussions proceeded on academic cooperation, curriculum alignment, and future collaborative initiatives.

From 10:00–11:00 AM, UESTC also delivered an information session to ICDI students, introducing academic programs, specialized courses, and international learning opportunities, including summer camps and exchange programs aimed at enhancing global exposure.

The visit reflects the continuing partnership between ICDI and UESTC and marks another important step toward strengthening international academic collaboration and expanding mobility opportunities for students.
