Korean Culture on Tour

On July 10, 2024, at HB7 at the CMU Faculty of Humanities, the Korean Cultural Centre in Thailand and the CMU Faculty of Humanities hosted the Korean event ‘Culture on Tour’. Assistant Professor Piriya Cherdsatirakul, DDS, gave a speech welcoming H.E. Mr. Park Yongmin, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Thailand, who presided over the opening ceremony, which was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Rawee Jansong, Dean of the Faculty, along with administrators, staff and students. The event aimed to promote Korean culture to students of Korean Language and Culture and those with interests in Korean Culture to enrich participants’ experience with Korean culture through various activities and performances including a Korean fan dance by Korean Language and Culture majors, as well as Jindo drum dance and K-pop cover dance by the Korean Cultural Centre. In addition to participating in various activity booths and an OX quiz, attendees were also treated to Korean cooking and craft demonstrations, as well as receiving mementos.
