‘Thailand Clean Air & Water Security Forum 2026 Episode 1: Chiangmai – Lamphun’ Press Conference

On March 2, 2026, the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, hosted a press conference to announce the outcomes and future directions of ‘Thailand Clean Air & Water Security Forum 2026 Episode 1: Chiang Mai–Lamphun.’ Dr. Wiparat De-ong, NRCT Executive Director, delivered the opening remarks and presented the project’s outcomes. Also in attendance were Mr. Siwakorn Buapong, Vice Governor of Chiang Mai, along with executives and researchers from CMU, as well as participants from the public and private sectors. The event aimed to advance key objectives of the Thailand RISE Fund initiative and showcase successful applications of research and technology in addressing PM2.5 pollution and water management challenges in Chiang Mai and Lamphun. Held at the Centara Riverside Hotel, the event also featured a panel discussion on integrating collaborative efforts to promote clean air and water security, as well as exhibitions highlighting research with tangible outcomes.
