On Friday, 16 October 2026, at 9.30 a.m., the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, led by Assoc. Prof. Rossarin Osathanunkul, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Economics, together with members of the Faculty's management team and staff, participated in a Pha Pa (Buddhist Robe Offering) fundraising ceremony to support scholarships for Chiang Mai University students. Organised by the Chiang Mai University Alumni Association, the ceremony was held at Sala Dhamma, Chiang Mai University.

The event aimed to raise scholarship funds for Chiang Mai University students who demonstrate good conduct but face financial difficulties. The initiative sought to expand educational opportunities and alleviate the financial burden of studying, helping students continue their education without unnecessary financial disruption.

In addition to its fundraising purpose, the ceremony helped preserve the university community's longstanding tradition of Buddhist merit-making and charitable giving. It also encouraged staff participation in activities benefiting the wider community, reflecting the values of generosity, mutual support, and a shared commitment to creating educational opportunities for students in financial need.
