Driving CMU Towards Net Zero: Sustainable Environment Development Group at "CMU Carbon One Forum"
On February 13, 2026, the Sustainable Environment Development Group under the City Management and Sustainability Center took a leading role in the "CMU Carbon One Forum" held at the Northern Science Park (NSP).
This landmark event, organized by the Energy Research and Development Institute - Nakornping (ERDI-CMU) and the Carbon and Sustainability Management Committee, aims to propel Chiang Mai University toward its Carbon Neutrality goals.
Our Key Highlights at the Forum:
Expert Keynote: Asst. Prof. Dr. Passakorn Chaemprasert, Deputy Director of the City Management and Sustainability Center, took the stage to share strategic insights on urban management and sustainable environmental transitions.
Knowledge Hub & Exhibition: Our team hosted an interactive booth dedicated to GHG Mitigation, providing essential knowledge on greenhouse gas reduction, carbon footprint assessment, and practical solutions for a greener future.
The event was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Prasert Rerkkriengkrai, Vice President of CMU, who officially launched the "CMU Carbon One" policy to establish CMU as a global model for sustainability.
We are proud to be a core force in transforming CMU into a Net Zero university. Together, we can create a sustainable world
