The International College of Digital Innovation, Chiang Mai University, in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University (Bangkhen Campus), organized the “Digital Cobot Camp” under the project “AGV Engineering: Designing Control Systems for Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV Camp).” The camp aimed to enhance engineering and innovation skills among youth aged 13–17.
Associate Professor Dr. Somchai Sriyab, Associate Dean of the International College of Digital Innovation, Chiang Mai University, presided over the opening ceremony held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 08:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Room ICB1102 and the Multipurpose Area, International College of Digital Innovation, Chiang Mai University.
The training featured hands-on workshops that allowed participants to learn by doing — from design thinking and 3D modeling, to programming robots in C/C++, wiring electronic circuits, assembling, and controlling Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV). Through these activities, participants developed systematic thinking, teamwork, and creative problem-solving skills in engineering contexts.
This initiative was made possible through the collaboration of faculty members and expert trainers from both the International College of Digital Innovation, Chiang Mai University, and the “Young Engineers: Creativity Starts from Childhood” Project of the Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University (Bangkhen Campus). Together, they shared knowledge in technology, engineering, and innovation through engaging and educational activities.
The project sought to cultivate essential 21st-century skills among youth — including critical thinking, effective communication, collaboration, and creativity. More than 35 students from leading schools in Chiang Mai Province participated in the camp, learning to design and develop prototype automated transport robots. The event served as an important platform to inspire Thai youth to pursue future careers as innovators and technology entrepreneurs.
