1 September 2025
International College of Digital Innovation
Assistant Professor Dr. Rujira Ouncharoen, Dean of the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, participated in the 2025 AI Competency Training Symposium (ACTS), held on August 29–30, 2025, at Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School, Shenzhen, P.R. China.
The symposium served as an international platform for university leaders and education experts from the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Russia, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to exchange ideas and discuss the future of AI-driven education and talent development.
During the event, Dr. Rujira engaged in discussions with experts on student-centered AI learning and transforming education through artificial intelligence. The symposium provided an important venue for sharing knowledge and experiences, allowing ICDI to gain international recognition and strengthen its role in the global education network, while opening new opportunities for academic collaboration between Thailand and China.
In addition, the Dean visited leading technology companies in Shenzhen, including Sangfor Technologies and Lumi United Technology (Aqara). Sangfor, a global leader in IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and cybersecurity, showcased its expertise in supporting digital transformation. The visit also created opportunities for ICDI to collaborate with Sangfor as an internship host, expanding international internship and career pathways for students.
This visits not only reinforced academic collaboration between ICDI-CMU and Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School but also expanded partnerships with China’s leading technology enterprises. It further opened opportunities for ICDI students to pursue scholarships for graduate programs at Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School, aligning with ICDI’s mission to integrate education and industry, provide international learning platforms, and support the sustainable growth of the regional digital economy.
