MIdS, CMU Participates in Gerontology Research Collaboration Meeting with Delegates from Science Tokyo ANNEX Bangkok (Institute of Science Tokyo, Japan)

On Thursday, May 15, 2025, the Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School (MIdS), Chiang Mai University, welcomed and held a collaborative meeting with distinguished the delegates from Science Tokyo ANNEX Bangkok, Japan. The delegation included Mr. Tatsuya Mizukoshi, Director of Science Tokyo ANNEX Bangkok, and Ms. Tomomi Kawazoe, University Research Administrator of Science Tokyo ANNEX Bangkok.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss potential collaboration in Gerontology Research, share insights and perspectives on related research areas, and explore possibilities for establishing academic cooperation between the institutions.
The meeting was led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Vorathamon Cherapanukorn, Assistant Dean of the Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School (MIdS), along with representatives from 7 key units of Chiang Mai University:
- Faculty of Medicine: represented by Asst. Prof. MD. Surat Tanprawate, Assistant Dean for Research, Innovation, and International Relations
- Information Technology Service Center (ITSC): represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jaggapong Natwichai, Director
- Science and Technology Park (STeP): represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pitiwat Wattanachai, Director, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Tinnakorn Phongthiya, Assistant Director, along with STeP staff members
- Innovation Management Office (IMO): represented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Kasemsak Uthaichana, Director, and Ms. Napat Krasaeyan, Innovation Management Officer
- Faculty of Humanities: represented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Manisa Piuchan
- Institute for Multidisciplinary Research: represented by Dr. Korawan Sangkakorn, Researcher at the Center for Tourism Research and Development
