Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jirakrit Shares Expertise in Elderly and Disability Healthcare to Enhance Community Quality of Life

On Thursday, May 7, 2026, Associate Professor Jirakrit Leelarungruangyub, Associate Dean of Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School, Chiang Mai University and and Head of Department Master of Science Program in Sports Science, was invited by the Chang Phueak Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Chiang Mai Province, to serve as a guest speaker for the “Healthcare Training Program for the Elderly and Persons with Disabilities, Fiscal Year 2026.”
The program was held at the Chang Phueak Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai Province.
Program Objectives
The training aimed to:
- Promote healthcare knowledge and practical skills for elderly people, persons with disabilities, and community members
- Encourage proper self-care and healthy lifestyles
- Support physical fitness and improve quality of life in an aging society
Key Training Topics
Associate Professor Jirakrit Leelarungruangyub, delivered lectures and interactive activities on:
- “Brain, Balance, and Physical Development through the 9-Square Exercise for Older Adults”
- “Physical Decline in Aging”
Participants learned preventive healthcare approaches, physical fitness development, and techniques to slow age-related physical decline through age-appropriate exercise activities.
