Political Science Selected to Join “eMpowering Youths Across ASEAN (eYAA) Cohort 6
20 May 2026
Corporate Communication and Alumni Relations Center (CCARC)
Ms. Natkamon Phonlak, a fourth-year Public Administration student from the Faculty of Political Science and Public Administration, has been selected to participate in eMpowering Youths Across ASEAN (eYAA) Cohort 6, a program jointly organized by the ASEAN Foundation and the Maybank Foundation. The initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of ASEAN youth through volunteerism and experiential learning. This year, 110 participants from ASEAN member countries were selected to develop leadership skills, collaborate with local communities, and create a positive social impact across the region.
As part of the program, Ms. Natkamon has been assigned to the Sumba Weaving Museum Project in Watuhadang Village. The project focuses on preserving the traditional Sumba weaving heritage while supporting the local economy through cultural tourism and the sustainable promotion of locally produced woven fabrics. The program provides a valuable opportunity for participants to work alongside fellow youth volunteers from across ASEAN, build international networks, and gain hands-on experience in community and social development in a global context.
