The Thai Basil Anti-Ageing Serum, developed following CMU’s Creative Lanna strategy, draws on existing knowledge to produce an innovative product with added value. It was developed by Associate Professor Dr Wantida Chaiyana, the lead researcher from the Faculty of Pharmacy, in partnership with CMU Science and Technology Park (STeP).
The serum is powered by fermented basil extract that is safe and has anti-ageing, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. This extract thus has a lot of potential as an active ingredient in cosmetics. The nanotechnology system used helps deliver rosmarinic acid into the skin, which is a novel application that allows for easy and quick absorption. This product also promotes the use of local plants, increasing values for agricultural products, as well as incomes for local farmers.
Consumers can trust that this anti-ageing serum is safe and effective without the risk of irritation or side effects, as proven by clinical testing and all the research and patents behind the production and quality control. And because of these great benefits, this product has great prospects for commercialization and will be made available for purchase online and in beauty and drugstores in the future.
