Vibrant Holi Festival Celebrated at Chiang Mai University

In a burst of colors and cultural exchange, the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI) at Chiang Mai University, in collaboration with the Consulate General of India in Chiang Mai, hosted the joyous Holi Festival 2024 today at the CMU Cultural Square.
Assistant Professor Dr. Benjamas Suksatit, Vice Dean of ICDI, welcomed the attendees with an opening speech, followed by Consul Krishna Chaitanya, the Consul General of India in Chiang Mai, who inaugurated the festivities.
The event unfolded with enlightening insights into the origins of the Holi Festival, shared by Dr. Siva Ramasamy, a lecturer at ICDI, setting the stage for the cultural immersion that followed. Attendees were treated to a captivating performance by Mr. Biibaswan Palchauduri, further enhancing the celebratory atmosphere. Highlighting the essence of Holi, the festival of colors, participants joined in a lively color power throwing event, uniting students from diverse faculties.
Culminating the festivities on a flavorful note, attendees indulged in delectable cuisine from Chai N' Thai restaurant, generously sponsored by the Consulate General of India in Chiang Mai, adding a taste of authentic Indian culture to the event. Described as a vibrant and enjoyable affair, the Holi Festival 2024 at Chiang Mai University brought together communities in a spirited celebration of unity, culture, and joy.
