The Food Innovation and Packaging Center (FIN), Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, represented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Niphawan Panthi on behalf of the Dean, received the TED Fellow Best Performance Award 2026 at the TED Fund FAST FORWARD 2027 event on October 27, 2026. The award recognizes the network’s outstanding performance in nurturing students and entrepreneurs, supporting TED Fund grant applications, and advancing research and innovation toward commercial applications. The award was presented by Prof. Dr. Supachai Pathumnakul, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation and Chair of the TED Fund Executive Committee, in Bangkok.

FIN CMU also showcased “Bio Ampoule,” a skincare innovation developed through the TED Youth Startup – Ideation Incentive Program (IDEA). The product uses bio-fermented red bean extracts produced with three types of microorganisms—fungi, lactic acid bacteria, and yeast—to enhance active compounds and antioxidant potential, adding value to agricultural raw materials through high-value cosmetic products.
