9 October 2026
Faculty of Economics
On Friday, 9 October 2026, at 10.00 a.m., the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, led by Assoc. Prof. Rossarin Osathanunkul, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Economics, together with Asst. Prof. Napon Hongsakulvasu, Ph.D., Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics, met with representatives of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Chiang Mai for discussions at the Consulate General's premises in Chiang Mai.
The meeting aimed to explore opportunities for coordination and network development with relevant organisations in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). The Faculty sought the Consulate General's assistance in providing guidance, facilitating communication, and establishing connections with relevant organisations and institutions across the region.
The visit marked an initial step towards strengthening ECON CMU's international networks and exploring potential opportunities for future academic and research collaboration with organisations in the Greater Bay Area.
