CMU Students Turn Classroom Innovation into TOKITI Nest, a Premium Cat Bed

Students and faculty members from Chiang Mai University have developed TOKITI Nest, a premium ventilated cat bed designed around feline comfort, safety, and natural behavior.

Combining engineering, ergonomic design, 3D printing, and manufacturing simulation, the product features natural body support, a seamless surface for easy cleaning, and an airflow system suited to Thailand’s hot climate.

Developed under the Faculty of Engineering’s Start-up Project, the innovation brings together faculty members and students from engineering and business disciplines, with support from Thai Mold and Die Co., Ltd. The team has also filed for intellectual property protection through CMU’s Technology Licensing Office, marking an important step in transforming student innovation into a market-ready product.
