CMU Partners with Banpu to Develop Projects that Meet Market Demands and Drive National Development

On January 16, 2024, at Office of the University’s Tawan Kongkangwanphong Room, CMU President Professor Dr. Pongruk Sribanditmongkol and Dr. Teerachai Pornsinsirirak, Head of Digital and Innovation of Banpu Public Company Limited, signed an MoU on academic, research, and innovation collaboration between the two parties. Also in attendance were Associate Professor Dr. Thongchai Fongsamootr, the Dean of the CMU Faculty of Engineering; Assistant Professor Dr Cheowchan Leelasukseree, the Head of the Department of Mining and Petroleum Engineering; Mr. Jamon Jamuang, the Head of Mining Business; and Mr. Pitak Wuttinonchai, the Vice President of Geoscience of Banpu. The MoU aimed to promote and support academic, research, and innovation collaboration, as well as the development of study programmes that are up-to-date and able to meet the demands of companies and the labour market.
