ICDI Hosts Weekly Research Session on “Ethereum Protocol and Its Roadmap”

On 16 September 2026, the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, organized a Weekly Research session entitled “Ethereum Protocol and Its Roadmap”, featuring Leo Lara, a former contributor at the Ethereum Foundation, as the guest speaker. The session was held from 10:00–11:00 a.m. at Room ICB1211, International College of Digital Innovation, Chiang Mai University.

The session aimed to provide participants with insights into the development of the Ethereum Protocol and its future roadmap. The presentation covered key aspects of Ethereum’s technical evolution, as well as the challenges involved in developing, maintaining, and improving a large-scale decentralized blockchain network.

During the session, ICDI students, faculty members, and researchers had the opportunity to exchange perspectives and engage in discussions with the guest speaker on issues related to blockchain protocol development. Drawing on his experience with the Ethereum Foundation, the speaker provided valuable insights that enhanced participants’ understanding of blockchain technology and emerging directions in its continued development.

The Weekly Research series is an ICDI initiative designed to promote knowledge exchange among faculty members, students, researchers, and experts from academia and industry. The series provides a platform for discussion, the sharing of expertise, and keeping abreast of advancements in digital technologies and innovation relevant to teaching, learning, and research.
