On Saturday, 11 July 2026, from 1.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m., the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, organised a special lecture for Course 751702: Macroeconomic Theory (Section 801) during the first semester of the 2026 academic year. The lecture was entitled “Business Operations and Strategic Decision-Making under Macroeconomic Uncertainty.”

The session featured Mr Akkadet Udomsirithamrong, Vice Chief Executive Officer of Ornsirin Holding Public Company Limited, who shared practical insights into how businesses respond to macroeconomic uncertainty through strategic planning, risk management, and executive decision-making in an increasingly complex economic environment.

The lecture was organised under the academic collaboration between the Faculty of Economics and the Chiang Mai Chamber of Commerce, reflecting a shared commitment to connecting classroom learning with real-world business practice. The session provided students with valuable opportunities to learn directly from an experienced business executive and to understand how macroeconomic theory can be applied to strategic business management.

This initiative demonstrates the Faculty's commitment to strengthening industry engagement and enhancing students' learning experiences by integrating academic knowledge with professional expertise, equipping graduates with the analytical and strategic capabilities required in today's rapidly changing global economy.
