ECON CMU Reviews 2025–2029 Strategic Plan to Shape Future Direction and Strengthen Organisational Development
4 September 2026
Faculty of Economics
On 4 September 2026, from 8.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, organised the 2026 Strategic Plan Review Workshop at Room ECB2602, 6th Floor, Building 2, Faculty of Economics. The workshop was facilitated by Assoc. Prof. Anan Mungwattana, Ph.D., Acting Vice President for Quality Development, Kasetsart University.
The workshop aimed to review the Faculty’s vision, mission, and previous performance, while establishing future directions through the review of the Faculty of Economics Strategic Plan 2025–2029.
The morning session focused on horizon scanning to identify emerging signals and trends that may influence the Faculty’s future. Participants also analysed strategic inputs across all missions, reviewed the Faculty’s performance during 2025–2026, and revisited its vision and mission to ensure their continued relevance to future development.
In the afternoon, participants worked on developing strategies aligned with Chiang Mai University’s 14th Education Development Plan, followed by the preparation of a revised action plan to translate strategic directions into concrete implementation.
The workshop concluded with a summary of the strategic plan review, an exchange of perspectives, and a question-and-answer session. The process provided an opportunity to gather valuable insights and recommendations to support the Faculty in responding effectively to future changes and advancing its strategic priorities.
