On 17–18 June 2026, Chiang Mai University Business School (CMUBS), led by Assistant Professor Dr. Khongphu Nimanandh, Dean of CMUBS, together with members of the School’s leadership team, participated in the AACSB Asia Pacific Accreditation Conference 2026 held in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The conference brought together business school leaders, faculty members, and professional staff from AACSB member institutions across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond to exchange insights and best practices in business education.

The conference focused on key issues shaping the future of business education, including strategic leadership, quality assurance, societal impact, accreditation, and institutional development. It provided a valuable platform for participants to discuss emerging trends, share experiences, and explore innovative approaches to advancing business education in a rapidly changing global environment.

As part of the conference program, Assistant Professor Dr. Khongphu Nimanandh was invited by AACSB to serve as a speaker in two important sessions.
The first session, “Leading for Good: Strengthening Societal Impact in the Asia Pacific Context,” explored how business schools can effectively organize, measure, and communicate their contributions to society. The discussion focused on aligning societal impact initiatives with institutional missions and strategies while demonstrating measurable outcomes in accordance with the latest AACSB standards.
Dr. Khongphu also contributed to the “Thai Schools Regional Meeting,” a dedicated forum that brought together leaders from business schools across Thailand. The session encouraged meaningful dialogue, peer learning, and collaboration among institutions while addressing common opportunities and challenges related to accreditation, quality enhancement, and business education development. The meeting also served as a platform for sharing experiences and supporting Thai institutions that are pursuing AACSB accreditation or continuous improvement initiatives.

In addition to participating in the conference, the CMUBS leadership team engaged with representatives from AACSB member institutions worldwide, strengthening international networks, exchanging best practices, and exploring opportunities for future collaboration.

CMUBS’s active involvement in the AACSB Asia Pacific Accreditation Conference 2026 reflects the School’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence, continuous improvement, and societal impact. It also reinforces CMUBS’s role in supporting the advancement of business education in Thailand while contributing to the global AACSB community.
