Faculty of Economics Organises Design Thinking for Better Work Workshop to Foster Innovation and Operational Excellence

On 4 July 2026, the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, through the Interest Group – Operational Effectiveness (OE), organised the workshop “Design Thinking for Better Work: Think Better, Understand Problems, Improve Work” as part of the Mission to the MOON (Measurable Outcome through Operational Nexus)initiative at Room ECB1401, Faculty of Economics.
The workshop was led by Assoc. Prof. Prartthana Jaiphong, Ph.D., Acting Director of the Office of Educational Quality Development, Chiang Mai University, who introduced participants to the principles and practical application of Design Thinking for problem-solving, service improvement, and organisational development.
Combining lectures with interactive workshops, participants explored user-centred approaches to identifying challenges, generating innovative ideas, and redesigning work processes to create more effective and sustainable solutions within the Faculty.
The programme aimed to strengthen creative thinking, collaboration, and continuous improvement capabilities among staff, supporting the Faculty's strategic commitment to Operational Effectiveness and organisational excellence through innovation and human-centred design.
