Faculty of Economics Congratulates Ban Pa Ngiu Community on Receiving National "Valuable Forest Community" Recognition

The Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, extends its heartfelt congratulations to Ban Pa Ngiu (Sgaw Karen Community), Tha Nuea Subdistrict, Mae On District, Chiang Mai, on receiving the "Valuable Forest Community" National Recognition Award (4th Edition, 2026) at the "Good" level from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) during the Thailand Research Expo 2026.
The Faculty takes great pride in Ban Pa Ngio being one of its key partner communities, where academic staff, researchers, and community members have worked together continuously through community-based research and development initiatives. These collaborative efforts have generated valuable knowledge that supports grassroots economic development, sustainable natural resource management, and long-term community resilience.
The Faculty also warmly congratulates Mr. Sukhoom Phunnarong, Researcher, Senior Professional Level at the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, whose long-standing dedication to working alongside the community has contributed significantly to tangible research outcomes.
