Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University Hosts Special Lecture by Associate Professor Dr. Satoko Horii from Toho University, Japan

September 10, 2026 — The Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University, hosted a special lecture entitled “Midwifery Education in Japan” on Thursday, September 10, 2026. The lecture was delivered by Associate Professor Dr. Satoko Horii from the Department of Global Health Nursing, Faculty of Nursing, Toho University, Japan. The event attracted faculty members, nursing students, nurses, and healthcare professionals, who participated both onsite at the Wilawan Senarat Meeting Room, Building 4, and online.

During the lecture, Dr. Horii shared valuable insights into Japan’s midwifery and nursing education system, highlighting educational approaches that prepare healthcare professionals to provide high-quality maternal and nursing care. She also discussed Japan’s comprehensive healthcare system and interdisciplinary strategies for addressing the challenges of a rapidly aging society through holistic care.
