ICDI CMU Participates in the 2026 Candle Casting, Blessing, and Candle Offering Ceremonies

On Thursday, 23 July 2026, the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Rujira Ouncharoen, Dean of the College, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Manad Khamkong, Associate Dean, together with the College's staff, participated in Chiang Mai University's 2026 Candle Casting and Candle Blessing Ceremony at the Dhamma Pavilion, Chiang Mai University.

The ceremony was presided over by Acting Prof. Dr. Charin Techapun, Vice President of Chiang Mai University, while Acting Prof. Dr. Ekkachai Maha-ek, Vice President of Chiang Mai University, delivered the opening remarks. The event was attended by university executives, faculty members, staff, and students from across the University, reflecting a shared commitment to preserving Thailand's rich cultural heritage and promoting the continuation of its cherished Buddhist traditions.

Later in the afternoon, Asst. Prof. Dr. Rujira Ouncharoen, together with ICDI CMU staff, participated in the Annual Buddhist Lent Candle Offering Ceremony at Wat Sri Soda, a Royal Monastery, to support and preserve Buddhist traditions during the annual Buddhist Lent (Khao Phansa) observance. The ceremony reflects the College's commitment to promoting Thailand's cultural and religious heritage while contributing to the preservation of one of the country's most significant Buddhist traditions.
