On 16 September 2026, the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, organized the “Working Together, Growing Together: Strengthening Teamwork Skills for Students” program at Room ICB1102. The program aimed to enhance students’ ability to work effectively with others by developing essential skills in communication, active listening, role and responsibility sharing, problem-solving, and collaborative goal achievement.

The event was officially opened by Associate Professor Dr. Juggapong Natwichai, Assistant to the President and Acting Vice Dean of ICDI. The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Pornsuda Insarn and Dr. Kaneya Onnang, who shared their expertise and led a series of practical activities based on Active Learning and Experiential Learning approaches, enabling students to learn through direct participation and hands-on experience.

The program covered teamwork in real-world working contexts, identifying individual roles and strengths within a team, effective communication and conflict management, as well as a Team Challenge activity. Through these activities, students worked collaboratively to plan, solve problems, and accomplish shared goals, followed by reflective learning sessions to help them apply the skills gained in future academic, extracurricular, and professional settings.

The program forms part of ICDI’s efforts to strengthen students’ essential soft skills in alignment with the CMU Student DNA and CMU Proactive IDP frameworks, particularly in the areas of Teamwork, Communication, Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, and Adaptability. These competencies are intended to prepare students for future learning, participation in university activities, and professional working environments.
