CMU and the University of Melbourne Collaborate in a Global Classroom on SDGs
The Faculty of Public Health, Chiang Mai University, in collaboration with the Faculty of Mass Communication and the University of Melbourne, conducted the project “Global Classroom: Communicating UNESCO Sustainable Development Goals through Art and Culture” from 2–27 February 2026.
The COIL-based program involved 9 students (6 from CMU and 3 from the University of Melbourne) and was taught by Dr Rosie Shea and Dr Heather Gaunt, with guest experts from both institutions.
The program featured four weekly online seminars, where students worked in international teams to explore SDGs through art and culture, producing a collaborative video as the final outcome.
Participants from CMU included Ms. NANG MWAY PHOUNG, Mr. AUNG KYAW KHANT, and Ms. LE THANH THAO TRANG.
