The Network of ASEAN-China Think-Tanks (NACT) Meeting

From July 20–21, 2026, at the Kok-Bhodi Meeting Room, Chiang Mai Marriott Hotel, the CMU Centre for ASEAN Studies, in partnership with the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) and the Institute of Asian Studies, China Foreign Affairs University, organized a working party meeting of the Network of ASEAN–China Think-Tanks (NACT) under the theme, 'Green Industrialization and Critical Minerals: Avoiding a New Resource Trap in ASEAN–China Green Supply Chains'. The meeting was attended by Professor of Practice Dr. Charin Techapun, Vice President of Chiang Mai University, Ms. Pennapa Kanchana, Inspector General at MHESI, as well as academics and experts from ASEAN member states and China. The event provided a platform for participants to exchange perspectives and strengthen mutual understanding and collaboration under the ASEAN–China framework.
