Chiang Mai University and LICMU Strengthen Collaboration with the CMU Beijing Liaison Centre, Advancing International Programs in China

From 21–23 September 2026, Chiang Mai University, represented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Pitipong Yodmongkol, Vice President of Chiang Mai University, together with the Language Institute, Chiang Mai University (LICMU), led by Asst. Prof. Sakorn Ruanklai, Director of the Language Institute, along with administrators and staff, visited Beijing, China, to strengthen academic partnerships and explore opportunities for international program development.
The visit included a meeting with the CMU Beijing Liaison Centre to discuss future directions for CMU’s activities and partnership development in China, with a focus on international programs, university and industry networks, and Executive Education.
LICMU also met with Renmin University of China – Renmin Business School to explore collaboration in Executive Education for executives, entrepreneurs, and business professionals, including opportunities to connect academic learning with business and industry engagement in China.
In addition, Chiang Mai University and LICMU met with Peking University Guanghua School of Management and the University of Sydney to discuss the development of a Joint Executive Education Program, bringing together the academic expertise, international networks, and strengths of the three institutions.
The visit marked an important step in strengthening collaboration among Chiang Mai University, the CMU Beijing Liaison Centre, and its university partners through both bilateral and trilateral initiatives. The discussions established clear directions for the next stage of collaboration, including program development, joint activities, and collaboration frameworks, with the aim of launching new international initiatives in the near future.
