CMU Lifelong Unveils 8 Transformative Innovations at Game Changer: The New Era of Lifelong Education

CMU Lifelong marked a significant milestone for Thai education at an event called Game Changer: The New Era of Lifelong Education, unveiling its new vision along with eight innovative learning initiatives poised to transform the educational landscape in Thailand. CMU Lifelong aims to propel the country toward a lifelong learning society and establish itself on the international stage as a leading lifelong learning organization.
The event, held on August 20, 2025, at the Plaii Ballroom, Chiang Mai Marriott Hotel, was officiated by Professor of Practice Dr. Charin Techapan, CMU Vice President. Associate Professor Dr. Nuttee Suree, Director of CMU Lifelong, along with his deputy, presented insights and details of the center’s new innovations.
Dr. Nuttee stated, “Thai education has been constrained by the same parameters for too long. Today, CMU Lifelong is no longer merely a follower—it is a game changer. We are launching innovations that promote new learning approaches, revolutionizing the way we learn, teach, and build career paths for the future.” At the event, CMU unveiled eight key innovations that will transform education both within the university and across the country. These include:
• MODULEX - Micro Learning Revolution: this sub-module learning platform is designed like a LEGO baseplate that systematically joins micro-modules together, tailor-made for new generations of learners with attention spans averaging just eight minutes.
• Skills4Youth: An online platform providing free learning opportunities for young people, featuring self-assessment through an RPG-style game where learners receive a ‘character’ that reflects their potential.
• New website & LMS: An in-house developed learning management system with a modern UX/UI, designed for ease of use and real-time management.
• LINE Learn: An all-in-one learning ecosystem fully integrated into the LINE app, enabling users to apply ? study ? take tests ? receive e-certificates seamlessly within a single platform.
• ALAN (AI Life Architect & Navigator): An AI-powered consultant for learning and career development, providing skills-to-job matching to help individuals design suitable and fulfilling life paths.
• LELA (Lifelong Education Learning Assistant): An intelligent chatbot that provides round-the-clock answers to learners’ questions, functioning like a real human assistant.
• Learning Academy: A platform featuring a real-time data dashboard, designed for faculties and organizations to offer new learning programs efficiently.
• Training Valley: A new ‘Study + Stay + Travel’ model that will transform Chiang Mai into the upskilling hub of Thailand and ASEAN.
Dr. Nuttee also highlighted the Training Valley Project, stating, “Traditionally, Chiang Mai has been known as one of the world’s top destinations, but today CMU Lifelong is taking it to a new level—a city of learning and human development unlike any other in the region.”
The Game Changer: The New Era of Lifelong Education event not only served as a platform to showcase these innovations, but also as a stage demonstrating CMU Lifelong’s commitment to becoming a leading driver of lifelong learning in Thailand and an influential organisation promoting lifelong education on the international stage.
