CMU Executives Attend ‘Thai University Presidents Forum 2026’

Professor Dr. Pongruk Sribanditmongkol, CMU President, and Associate Professor Usanee Kumprakob, Vice President, attended the Thai University Presidents Forum 2026, held between August 6 – 7 at Vibhavadee Ballroom AB, L Floor, Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok. It served as a platform for Thai higher education institutions to exchange ideas, suggest actionable initiatives and develop operational guidelines under the New Growth University Framework.
On this occasion, Professor Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawad, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), presided over the forum. Also in attendance were Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) and Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University and Chairman of the Council of University Presidents of Thailand (CUPT), along with representatives from other institutions.
At the event, Professor Pongruk delivered a keynote lecture titled, ‘Roadmap to UPF2026: an Executive Perspective’ to share his views and experience in university administration. The President also moderated the ‘Presidents’ Dialogue: The Next Chapter for Thailand’s Higher Education’. Meanwhile, Associate Professor Usanee joined the panel on ‘Curriculum and Administrative Data Analysis Through AIL a Model Case Study’ and ‘AI University Readiness Analytics & Executive Dashboard’ alongside executives from other institutions.
