MIdS CMU Advances Toward International Standards as Thailand’s First Academic Institution Certified to ISO 21001:2025

On Wednesday, September 23, 2026, Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School, Chiang Mai University, held a ceremony to receive ISO 21001:2025 certification for Educational Organizations Management Systems (EOMS). The ceremony took place in Room 2-202, Building 2, MIdS CMU.

The ceremony was honored by Assoc. Prof. Usanee Kumprakob, M.Sc., Vice President of Chiang Mai University and Chair of MIdS Administrative Committee, who delivered congratulatory remarks and officially received the certification on behalf of MIdS CMU.

Prof. Dr. Apichat Sopadang, Dean of MIdS CMU, presented the implementation progress and achievements of the Educational Quality Management System Development Project in accordance with ISO 21001:2025.

The ISO 21001:2025 certification was presented by Dr. Chavatip Jindawichak, Senior Executive Director of the Conformity Assessment Bodies Business, Senior Director of the System Certification Department, and Acting Director of the Inspection Department, Management System Certification Institute (MASCI).

On the same occasion, Dr. Chavatip Jindawichak also delivered a morning session for MIdS personnel on the topic “Summary of the Implementation of the ISO 21001:2025 Educational Quality Management System Development Project”, followed by a session on learning outcomes and the application of knowledge to workplace practices at Main Conference Room 1-101, MIdS CMU.


MIdS CMU is the first academic institution in Thailand to receive ISO 21001:2025 certification. The school successfully underwent the assessment for certification of the Educational Organizations Management System (EOMS) on August 28, 2026, conducted by the Management System Certification Institute (MASCI).

The achievement of ISO 21001:2025 certification marks another significant milestone for MIdS CMU in its ongoing development of a high-quality educational management system. The certification reflects the School’s commitment to systematically and continuously developing and managing multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary education in accordance with international standards, while responding to the needs of sustainable social development.

MIdS CMU has established its educational organization policy:
