A delegation from the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), led by Dr. Chakkrapong Kuensaen, Assistant Dean, along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Tanarat Rattanadamrongaksorn and Dr. Nuttaphat Sukchitt, attended the APEC Digital Weeks 2026 from July 25–29, 2026, in Chengdu, People's Republic of China.
The APEC Digital Weeks 2026 is an event under the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) framework, serving as the primary platform for the Digital and AI Ministerial Meeting. This event was organized to shape regional policies on the digital economy, Data for Growth, and AI technology governance guidelines among member economies before forwarding the outcomes and agreements to the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting.
The ICDI delegation attended the high-level roundtable meeting, which was joined by ministers and national representatives from APEC member economies. This stage featured visionary presentations on the application of digital technologies to elevate the economic development and security of each nation. Furthermore, throughout the event week, the delegation participated in various engaging activities, including (1) Seminars on data and AI to empower industrial development, (2) Knowledge exchange on Smart City management, (3) The application of international dry port logistics data, and (4) Case study exhibitions showcasing AI innovation applications across different sectors
The global technological trends and policy visions gained from this regional meeting will be utilized and built upon as a crucial guideline for shaping research frameworks, curriculum design, and academic initiatives at the International College of Digital Innovation. This aims to prepare the institution for cultivating human resources and innovations that effectively respond to future technological dynamics.
