Promoting Division-Level Energy Conservation through Electricity Efficiency Measurement for GHG Emissions Reduction

On March 13, 2026, at the Doi Luang Room, Kantary Hills Hotel Chiang Mai, Associate Professor Prasert Rerkkriangkrai, Vice President of Chiang Mai University, officiated the opening of a seminar for the ‘Promoting Division-Level Energy Conservation through Electricity Efficiency Measurement for GHG Emissions Reduction’ initiative. Associate Professor Dr. Itthichai Preechawuttipong, Deputy Director of the Energy Research and Development Institute–Nakornping (ERDI), delivered the overview remarks. He outlined the initiative’s efforts to foster a shared understanding among CMU divisions to ensure that approaches, plans and operations align with national policies and directions aimed at achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and net-zero emissions by 2065.
