CMU Library Receives Certificate for Faculty-Level Carbon Management Plan, Moving Towards a Low-Carbon and Sustainable Organization

Mr. Thanaphan Kankhonsue, Acting Assistant Director of the Library, Miss Kulprawee Phomararee, Secretary of the Library, and Mrs. Jiraporn Haboon, Head of General Administration, along with library staff, represented the library to receive the certificate for the "Faculty-Level Carbon Management Plan." This was under the project "Capacity Building for Personnel in Carbon Management to Drive Chiang Mai University Faculties towards Becoming Low-Carbon and Sustainable Organizations." Assoc. Prof. Prasert Rerkkriangkrai, Vice President of Chiang Mai University, presided over the ceremony to award certificates to the participating faculties at the seminar "Summary of Operational Results according to the Faculty Carbon Management Plan," organized by the Human Resources Division in collaboration with the Energy Research and Development Institute - Nakornping, Chiang Mai University (ERDI-CMU).
These operations reflect the Library's intention and commitment to collectively drive Chiang Mai University towards its Carbon Neutrality goal. The Library remains committed to elevating its internal management to be environmentally friendly, alongside providing academic services, in order to become a Green Library that is ready to grow sustainably alongside the community and Chiang Mai University. The event took place at Thong Kwao 1 Meeting Room, UNISERV, on September 24, 2026.
