The Faculty of Pharmacy, Chiang Mai University, in collaboration with the University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC), has launched the 'Thai Traditional Medicine and Complementary Medicine for Health and Wellness' curriculum (USAC Programs)
On August 26, 2026, the Faculty of Pharmacy, Chiang Mai University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Mathukorn Sainakham, Assistant Dean, extended a warm welcome to Ms. Chaidarun Tippawan, Director, USAC Thailand, and Ms. Sirisorn Sittirin, Program Assistant. They accompanied 10 undergraduate students from the United States to mark the commencement of the "Thai Traditional Medicine and Complementary Medicine for Health and Wellness (USAC Programs) – Fall 2026." The program is scheduled to run from August 26 to November 25, 2026.
This short-term, 45-hour curriculum focuses on promoting knowledge in Thai Traditional Medicine, Lanna Folk Medicine, Traditional Medicine, and Traditional and Complementary Integrative Medicine (TCIM) through lectures, practical training, and field studies. The program was developed through the expertise of Dr. Onusa Thamsermsang, Program Chair, alongside Associate Professor Dr.Aekkhaluck Intharuksa, Dr. Apisada Jisoh, and faculty members and staff from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences as instructors. Pharmacy Academic Unit for Lifelong Education , Faculty of Pharmacy, Chiang Mai University, serves as the primary body supporting the academic management of this program in collaboration with USAC.
*Pharmacy Academic Unit for Lifelong Education*is pleased to offer consultation and collaborate with faculty members and various organizations in developing educational curricula for lifelong learning, aiming to create a boundless learning space together.
