21 October 2026
Corporate Communication and Alumni Relations Center (CCARC)
Chiang Mai University, led by Prof. Pongruk Sribanditmongkol, M.D., Ph.D., President of Chiang Mai University, and Asst. Prof. Pairach Piboonrungroj, Ph.D., Assistant to the President, participated in “Asia’s Philanthropic Future: Catalyzing Growth and Partnership,” an official side event of the IMF–World Bank Group Annual Meetings 2026, held on October 17, 2026, at Mandarin Oriental Bangkok.
The event was jointly organized by the Kasikornthai Foundation and the Commission on Asian Philanthropy. It brought together more than 100 participants, including senior policymakers, global development leaders, philanthropic organizations, and business executives, to strengthen cross-sector collaboration. The event also marked the official launch of the Thai-language edition of the Commission’s Interim Report, which highlights the potential of philanthropic capital to support national development agendas across the region.
CMU’s participation reflects the University’s commitment to connecting knowledge, innovation, and international networks to advance sustainable development and generate positive social impact across the region.
