SustainableCampus Management Center : SCMC
On 19-20 September 2024, a delegation from Chiang Mai University's Smart Campus Management Center visited Mahidol University’s Division of Physical Systems and Environment to learn about the development of smart environmental management systems within the university. The focus was on leveraging technology to enhance green space management, renewable energy utilization, and improving air quality on campus.
Following this, the delegation visited the Wangchan Valley Development Project, where they were briefed on the development of smart infrastructure aimed at creating an innovation hub of the future. The project emphasizes the use of technology in energy management, smart city development, and building ecosystems for emerging tech businesses.
The visit concluded at the AIS Evolution Experience Center (EEC), where the delegation gained insights into 5G communication technology’s pivotal role in driving smart city development, the Internet of Things (IoT), and AI-powered big data analytics to support urban development in various dimensions.
This visit is part of an ongoing effort to develop new strategies for sustainable and efficient infrastructure management. CMU Smart Campus Management Center aims to apply the knowledge and experiences gained from this visit to improve its campus management systems, advancing toward becoming a sustainable smart university in the future.
