ECON CMU Meets Deputy Mayor of Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organization to Promote Greenhouse Gas Management Programme and Explore Personnel Development Collaboration

On Monday, 19 October 2026, at 2.00 p.m., the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, led by Mattana Wongsirikajorn, Ph.D., Deputy Dean, together with Asst. Prof. Napon Hongsakulvasu, Ph.D., Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics, met with Mr. Somchart Wattanakla, Deputy Mayor of Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organization, to promote the first cohort of the Greenhouse Gas Management Executive Programme and discuss potential collaboration in personnel development. The meeting took place at the Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organisation.

The visit aimed to introduce the programme and exchange perspectives on developing personnel capabilities in greenhouse gas management, with an emphasis on strengthening relevant knowledge, understanding, and practical skills that can be effectively applied in professional settings.

The discussion also provided an opportunity to strengthen institutional relations and explore potential cooperation between the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, and the Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organisation in personnel development and knowledge exchange relating to greenhouse gas management. Such cooperation could contribute to future environmental initiatives and sustainable development efforts.
