ICDI, CMU Participates in an Academic Visit and Discussions on International Research Collaboration and Funding Opportunities under the TTHER Project

On 14 August 2026, Asst. Prof. Dr. Rujira Ounchareon, Dean of the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, together with faculty members of the College, participated in an academic visit and discussions on international research collaboration under the TTHER Project at Edinburgh Napier University. The visit provided an opportunity to exchange ideas on the development of joint research projects, explore research funding opportunities, and strengthen academic and research networks among participating institutions.
The event brought together faculty members and researchers from several institutions, including Edinburgh Napier University, Chiang Mai University, the University of the West of Scotland, the University of Phayao, Jiangnan University, and International Islamic University Malaysia.
The meeting brought together Prof. Dr. Hongnian Yu and Prof. Dr. Chan Hwang See from Edinburgh Napier University; Asst. Prof. Dr. Rujira Ouncharoen, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nopasit Chakpitak, Prof. Dr. Radom Pongvuthithum, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chulin Likasiri from Chiang Mai University; Prof. Keshav Dahal from the University of the West of Scotland; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huarong Zhao from Jiangnan University.
As part of the meeting, Dr. Naret Suyaroj from Chiang Mai University, Dr. Arunee Promsri from the University of Phayao, and Dr. Muna Azuddin from International Islamic University Malaysia, all ISPF Research Fellows, presented potential funding opportunities and project ideas that could support future collaboration among the participating institutions.
The presentations were followed by an open discussion on shared research interests, possible collaborative projects, suitable funding opportunities, and the development of joint multidisciplinary and international research proposals.
The meeting provided a valuable platform for strengthening connections among the participating universities and exploring new opportunities for long-term international research collaboration.
