Chiang Mai University (CMU), led by Asst. Prof. Benjamas Suksatit (RN, MSN, Dip.APMSN, Ph.D.), Assistant to the President, is participating in the 7th Lancang-Mekong College Students’ Goodwill Games and 9th South and Southeast Asia College Student Culture and Sports Week, held in Kunming and Wenshan, Yunnan Province, China, from October 18–27, 2026.
The official opening ceremony took place on October 20 at Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST), bringing together university executives and student representatives from countries across the Lancang-Mekong region, South Asia, and Southeast Asia, including China, Thailand, Laos, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
The event aims to foster friendship and mutual understanding among students through sports competitions and cultural exchange, while strengthening regional people-to-people ties and promoting future cooperation in education, science, technology, and culture.
As part of CMU’s internationalization strategy, four students are representing the University in men’s and women’s singles and doubles badminton competitions, scheduled for October 20–23 in Wenshan, Yunnan Province:

Ms. Nopparat Phraiwan — Faculty of Agriculture (Women’s singles and doubles)
