On December 25, 2018, the Engineering Institute of Thailand under the Royal Patronage chooses students studying in the Faculty of Engineering throughout the country, those of which, have received good grades and have tested first place in their faculty to receive the 2018 Medal of Education at Salathai Association Hall in the Grand Palace.
On this occasion, Mr. Peerasit Srisukontamit, a fourth year student majoring in electrical engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, received the Medal of Education from King Maha Vajiralongkorn with an cumulative GPA of 3.93.
