Faculty of Economics Joins Merit-Making Ceremony in Dedication to Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha

On Tuesday, 14 July 2026, the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, led by Mattana Wongsirikajorn, Ph.D., Deputy Dean, joined a merit-making and alms-giving ceremony dedicated to Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati, Krom Luang Ratchasarinee Siripatchara Maha Vajrarajadhida, in honour of Her Royal Highness and as an expression of profound loyalty and gratitude. The ceremony was held at the Dhamma Pavilion, Chiang Mai University.

The ceremony was presided over by Phra Rajaratchamuni (Nimit Sikharasuvanno), Deputy Ecclesiastical Governor of Chiang Mai Province and Abbot of Suan Dok Royal Monastery, who led ten monks in chanting Buddhist prayers and receiving alms dedicated to Her Royal Highness.

The ceremony was chaired by Prof. Pongrak Sribanditmongkol, M.D., Ph.D., President of Chiang Mai University, and attended by university executives, academic staff, professional staff, and students, who gathered to pay tribute in a solemn and respectful atmosphere.

The Faculty's participation reflects its commitment to preserving Thailand's cherished traditions while joining the University community in expressing loyalty, gratitude, and respect for the Thai monarchy.
