Language Institute Chiang Mai University, led by Assistant Professor Sakorn Ruanklai, Director, together with Mr. Karim Ali Hussain, General Manager, and LICMU team, recently visited the Kansai region of Japan to strengthen partnerships and promote academic collaboration with partner institutions. The visit included meetings with Kobe Women’s University, Ritsumeikan University, and Kansai University.
During the visit, the delegation reviewed past collaborative initiatives and engaged in discussions on future opportunities to expand and enhance cooperation between the institutions. As part of the program, Language Institute also organized a workshop titled “Thai Language and Culture for Beginners” for students. The workshop introduced participants to basic Thai language skills, Thai cultural elements, and Thai cuisine through a food tasting session.
The workshop received an enthusiastic response from both faculty members and students, reflecting strong interest in Thai language and culture and reinforcing the potential for continued collaboration between Chiang Mai University and its partner universities in Japan.
