CMUBS Hosts National and International Business Management Research Conference (15th BMRC and 13th GTBMC) Opening Platform for International Researchers to Strengthen Research Networks and Knowledge Toward Real Business and Social Impact

November 28, 2025 – Chiang Mai University Business School, in collaboration with the Association of Quality Accounting Firms, the Association of Thai Audit Firms, and BINUS University Business School, Indonesia, organized the 15th Business Management Research Conference (BMRC) and the 13th Global Technology and Business Management Conference (GTBMC) under the theme "The Future of Business: Rethinking Strategies for a Transformative Era" at the Chiang Mai Marriott Hotel. The event provided a platform for lecturers, researchers, and academics from both domestic and international institutions to present research papers, participate in paper competitions, and exchange in-depth knowledge that creates impact in academia, innovation, and society. The conference also empowered academics and graduate students to apply knowledge toward business development at the community and national levels, with over 160 participants attending.

The event featured the presentation and competition of over 40 research papers from Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, Laos, Sri Lanka, and the United States, along with special lectures from leading experts. Highlights included insights on research-driven strategic decision-making for building an AI innovation ecosystem within organizations, an update on modern marketing trends and consumer behavior, and practical approaches to applying technology to research for real-world industry applications.

The outstanding research paper awards for this conference included four awards: BMRC Best Paper Award for the research titled "Analysis of Factors Affecting User Satisfaction of Google Maps and Google My Business Applications" by a researcher from Thailand, Kanchanapon Ponprateep from Mahanakorn University of Technology; GTBMC Best Paper Award for the research titled "Modeling Regional Employment in Japan: The Role of Firm Size, Capital, and Spatial Dynamics" by a researcher from Japan, Yuzuru Utsunomiya from Nagasaki University; Outstanding Paper Award for the research titled "Impact of Access to Credit on Agricultural Production Efficiency: A Case Study of Maize Farmers in Oudomxay Province, Lao PDR" by a researcher from Lao PDR, Ananthala Nakhiengchan from the Banking Institute; and Graduate Consortium Best Paper Award for the work "Unlocking Corporate Sustainability Performance in the Palm Oil Industry in Indonesia: A Conceptual Framework on the Strategic Role of Sustainability Culture" by a researcher from Indonesia, Susy Harjanti from BINUS Business School. All of these works reflect the potential of researchers at the international level and stand out in terms of academic value, innovation, and genuine social benefits.
