The Security and Traffic Division, Sustainable Campus Management Center, organized a hands-on workshop on fire prevention and suppression under the course
“Firefighting Team in the Workplace” on Tuesday, 23 September 2025 (BE 2568). The training took place at two venues: the Phraya Sri Visaravaja Meeting Room,
Office of the University, and the Center for Sustainable Urban Management, 2nd Floor, University Office Building 3. Instructors from Chiang Mai Municipality delivered
comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in fire safety.
Lecture session included:
Theory of fire occurrence
Firefighting equipment, tools, and extinguishing planning (by instructors from Chiang Mai Municipality)
Practical session focused on:
Using fire hoses, in-building fire hose cabinets, and internal firefighting plans
Using firefighting nozzles to suppress flammable gas fires
Team deployment to suppress building fires
Team deployment to handle fires arising from flammable gas leaks
This training aimed to enhance personnel readiness to prevent, control, and suppress fires effectively, and to strengthen
the organization’s safety measures in line with standard practices, ensuring accurate and timely emergency response.
