ICDI Organizes Annual Firefighting and Fire Evacuation Drill Training 2026
31 August 2026
International College of Digital Innovation
On 19 August 2026, the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, organized its Annual Firefighting and Fire Evacuation Drill Training 2026 at the ICDI Building. The training was officially opened by Assistant Professor Dr. Chaiwuth Tangsomchai, Associate Dean of ICDI.
The training was conducted by experienced instructors from the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Division, Chiang Mai Municipality, who shared their knowledge and practical experience in fire prevention and suppression, the proper use of basic firefighting equipment, and appropriate procedures to follow in the event of a fire. Faculty members, support staff, and students of ICDI participated in the training.
The program included both theoretical and practical sessions on fire prevention and suppression. Participants received hands-on training in the use of firefighting equipment and took part in a fire evacuation drill. These activities were designed to equip participants with the knowledge, understanding, and essential skills required to respond to emergency situations correctly and safely, as well as to enable them to assist themselves and others appropriately in the event of an unexpected emergency.
This training forms part of ICDI’s ongoing efforts to strengthen safety measures within the College and raise awareness among faculty members, staff, and students. It also aims to enhance preparedness for fire-related emergencies and foster a safe and secure learning and working environment for everyone.
