CMU Cements Its Position on the World Stage in QS Rankings 2027

CMU has been ranked No 555 in the 2027 edition of the QS World University Rankings with over 1,500 entries worldwide, according to the official results announced on June 18, 2026.
This year’s performance is a testament to CMU’s strong improvement in several domains, particularly in Sustainability with a notable increase of 75 points, underscoring the university’s active role in creating concrete impacts on society, the environment and community development, as guided by CMU’s vision towards achieving sustainability.
In the International Research Network, CMU achieves a remarkable score of 67.2, which showcases its strength in building academic and research collaboration networks worldwide, as well as continuous improvement in Citations per Faculty, underscoring its international recognition in research and academic collaboration. The ranking highlights CMU’s commitment to research and innovation, building collaboration networks with leading institutions worldwide, as well as advancing SDGs with tangible results.
QS World University Rankings employs nine key indicators, including Academic Reputation, Research, Employment Reputation, Employment Outcomes, Faculty Student Ratio, Global Engagement and Sustainability.
