CMU Signs MOU with NCSA to Advance Cybersecurity Development

On 5 June 2026, Professor of Practice Dr. Charin Techapun, Vice President of Chiang Mai University, and Teerawut Witayakorn, Deputy Secretary General of the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen collaboration in cybersecurity education, workforce development, and capacity building. The partnership aims to enhance CMU’s technology and cybersecurity programs in line with international standards and national workforce development strategies. It will also support the development of qualified educators and professionals equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to promote cybersecurity awareness and transfer expertise to future generations. Through this collaboration, both institutions will contribute to the production of a highly skilled workforce aligned with Thailand’s national cybersecurity framework, while positioning CMU as a leading hub for learning, knowledge exchange, and innovation in cybersecurity. The signing ceremony was held at Phraya Srivisanvacha Room, Office of the University 1, and was attended by executives and staff from both organizations.
